The test itself is a farce. Some adhere to the test and others don't. VW to name one.

The Times:
"The affected vehicles are “mini-cars” with 660cc engines... The company manipulated the tyre pressure of test vehicles to improve fuel consumption in four models, including two that are sold under Nissan’s marque: 157,000 of the affected cars were sold by Mitsubishi, the remaining 468,000 by Nissan."

Doesn't it only affect some models sold in Japan. So some shitty little Pizza delivery truck maybe?

No it effects overall company share price and the 'good' name.. Of two companies.

That is more important than any model concerned.

It is lovely to see a nation with a high ethical standard. This has caused much uproar in Japan by the looks of it.

If this happened in the western world, hardly anyone would bat an eyelid, and certainly those involved would be downplaying and diffusing the blame.

Good on you Japan.
