Service required - how is calculated

Hi,

I bought the car (F30 320i) with 42000 km and the "service required in" that pops up at startup showed "in 18000" but it decreases all the time, 2000 km later it shows in 14000 or January 2018.

How is it calculated? based on what? is my driving style influencing that?

Thanks in advance

Is an algorith between runned miles and time for service remaining.
As time is coming miles left are coming more quick ...

It's called CBS (Condition based service) yes it does evaluate your driving style.
