M Mirrors
So i saw this vid of Joe Achilles picking up his new M2. In the vid he shows the M4 style mirror caps he bought.
Min 24:57 don't know if this has already been posted but i think it's worth a post. |

The M mirrors are longer and proportioned, these look a like caps look weird. If they fit, would love to see a real M4 mirror on an M2 like the initial sketches. |

I don't understand why those mirrors are being hated. Is it because they're fake carbon or what? They look great, much better than the boring stock mirrors.

That's what these mirrors are. Fake Air Jordans on the BMW M2. Besides, that extra chunk of plastic on the top doesn't do anything more than create additional drag. |

Great comparison to bobo Payless wannabe Jordans When i see a post about these mirror caps, i think of this post about fake badges on cars, same thing: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...ht=fake+emblem |

I don't believe anyone adding this is concerned about wind noise or drag... In fact I think you would be hard pressed to find any "cosmetic" mod that was functional and reduced drag. To me it looks better. I would do it. And I would tint the turn signal. Ever since I was a kid, M cars had signature M mirrors. Heck even the sketch of the concept had it. To me, this car was supposed to have them but they kept costs low as possible. But I know I'm beating a dead horse around here.
Short of an extremely cost prohibitive M4 mirror retrofit, I really think this looks great. Still would love to see more photos of it and some with the tinted turn signal. Last edited by Blindside_137; 05-02-2016 at 08:01 PM.. |
