Available MA Dealer Allocation
Wagner BMW of Shrewsbury MA claims to have an allocation available now, but wants $5k over MSRP. They won't do euro delivery so that is a deal breaker for me, but they seem to be willing to negotiate on markup. Odd that they don't seem to have a waiting list, but I was told that's "what we're doing for this car". Hope this helps someone!

Had my brother in Boston call, he was told they have a waiting list 4 people deep. Would love it if someone else could call and see how many versions of the story we get haha. |

I make it my civic duty to expose sketchy dealers like this. PS: plus it helps procrastinate work |

Appreciate you following up. Don't want anyone here to get screwed by them. It's amazing that some of the dealers I have talked with that continue to say "$5k markup", "Extremely limited production", etc. Some have since come back with MSRP ("I got the manager to let me sell it to you for..."). Definitely not getting my business.

How is it shady? It's a free market, they can ask whatever they want and you can buy it or move on. Yeah all us consumer wants to pay MSRP or less but no one is holding a gun to your head forcing you to pay markup. Worst case someone will get their hopes up and then hear the price and walk away.

And yes, I agree about MSRP and mark-ups, that is simply the nature of a free market. Lying about the number of allocations on the other hand... |
