Track Wheels?

Okay guys, dying to get out on track but not going to waste my time with the super sports.

Really would like to buy some Apex wheels and a dedicated set of rubber. Has anyone confirmed if the Apex wheels fit yet and what is the max size we can run front and rear?

Will the M4 fitment EC7's work with 275 front 295 rear?

They fit. I saw a thread with some test fitted. Probably the 9.5 et22. I imagine the 9.5 around et30 will be a proper fit. Same specs as the m3/m4. Just a little less fender clearance. What tires will you run? That's my dilemma.

Do they make a 9.5 et30 for the front?

Not that I saw. They make a 10" et 33. That's equal to a 9.5 et 27. Fairly close. Or they make a 9" et 31. Which is less aggressive than stock. Would have spacers options.

Really? 265 on that wheel would basically be like a 9mm spacer as far as fender clearance. But it would be close to 17mm close to the suspension. It would be tits if that would fit. Then run their 11 et44 in back with 295's.

Or if we are really lucky, run 285/30 in front and 305/in back...same tire diameter and stagger as stock!

Edit...those are 19" sizes. Sidewall would go to 35 for 18".

Yeah for sure! I'm going to 10" and 11". Just a different brand. I think a 10" et 33 with a little camber is right on the money

A 305 in the rear of this car would almost look comical. Can't wait to see it.

So, what would be the ideal tire/wheel spec for the track? 18',19?

What wheels and tire size we should be aiming to get?

I will track the car first and then determine my next steps. I too was anxious to jump to a conclusion. My inclination was to go square at 265 for starters. However I had lunch with the instructors at the performance center when I picked up my car and had this exact discussion. They indicated that this car out of the box handles corners better and with higher Gs than the M4 with larger tires. They also suggested that the stagger was appropriate. That discussion caused me to pause on my plans and try the car on the track first. My first track event will be in 2 weeks and I'll know better then.

Easiest just to try since you have the wheels and tires. I don't expect either will be an issue. Might want to check and make sure the front isn't tucked in too far and hitting the strut. The wheel will clear for sure. Don't know about the tire though.
