Which rear end? X5 or RRS

Please can I get your vote. Recent talk of X5's has me wondering which looks best from behind, the X5 M-Sport or RRS?

I do like the RRS but I'm not convinced about the exhaust pipes. Somehow too small and close together for such a big car...

X5 by far, the rear lights look ridiculously small and ill thought out on the RR, as per usual BMW the X5 looks well planned and purposeful

From that view, then the X5 by far. It's the weakest part of the RRS by far to my eyes and one of the best on the X5. From the front both look pretty good, but from the side the RRS is a bit better I think, in terms of presence. The current X5 isn't quite as handsome from the side as the previous one, which still catches my eye as a good looking SUV. I think it's something around the rear arches they seem to have lost.

X5 by a massive margin, looks much better proportioned and balanced.

Range Rover looks like a massive slab of arse!

Looks RRS fir me, despite the weedy zorst. Split tailgate on the X5 though is miles better, large SUVs should have this.

X5, but only with those exhaust tips. As far as pic goes, black doesn't help the RRS and the grey shows of the X5 very well.

Exactly this for me.

It's the X5 rear that got me interested - especially with the light on (full LED).

Popped by Dick Lovett in Swindon today (why are all of his places closed Sunday?) - they have THE car I would order on the forecourt; Carbon Black 50d; it's a monster, the rear tyres are mahoosive!!

Are you going for a 50d Mark?

95% yes....

Deal is done in principle but needs senior dealership Managment approval. Going back Tuesday to take the X6 50d out (I had the X5 30d on test), then all being well the deposit will go down.

Having seen the Carbon black X5 50d at Dick Lovett today, I am now a bit excited .

Just out of interest mark I am considering x5 m50d, but have been offered a build slot on x5m
The deal is 16k off, 10k deposit 2.9 apr monthlies of £875, 50d wasn't much cheaper

I've had both and the RRS was a great car the only let down for me was the lower rear bumper which they changed for the RRS SVR to a far better looking bumper all together.
So on this picture I would go with the X5 in fact I'm loving the X5 and don't think there is anything I really preferred about the sport over the X5 as I never go offroad and my next car will more than likely be the same depends what the new model is like when it appears.

Garage List
From the rear the tiny lights, pea shooter exhausts and that 'crabs mouth' silver guard spoil the RRS for me. From the front though, I'd take the RRS any day. What would put me totally off the RRS though is that some friends bought one last year and have had several reliability issues with it. Yes, RR have carted it off on a trailer (more than once) and lent them a car, but it's aggravation you can do without on a new car.

Sounds like a decent deal if it works for you...

The M5 has put me off running costs of a big petrol (for now ) and the 50d deal I'm looking at, while the price is £20k less, is £2k deposit, 15k miles and a fistful of cash less per month that the X5M you've been offered.

It gets to me that things like decent seats, HK etc. are STILL extra, even on the X5M. Ridic - as my teenager would say....

Must still be a slug of cash though. I've had a bit of a look at it is on my list and I've seen lease deals at 4K down and £650 to £700 for either 24 or 36 months.

More than I wanted to pay but it is a lot of car!

Neither of the two cars appeals to me, but if it was my money I'd pick a Beemer. RR does look horrible from the rear and the puny exhaust pipe look comical.
And I'm not biased cos this is a BMW forum, I don't like cars like these in general, too tall, can't see shit from behind one, owners seems to think they are some kind of royalty and expect everyone to get out of their way. They also can't park even if one could fit a fucking jumbo jet in the space...
Sorry, I meant to say X5 looks was better!
