I've just decided on an X5 50d so when will this engine start production?

Not sure, it says they're going to put it into the 750d xdrive first gives 0-60 in 4.5 in that car, I would imagine the MY17 50d cars might have it in?

With the G30 M5 more than likely to get 600hp and a 4 wheel drive system the 550d xdrive will move up with this engine when the G30 comes out would be my guess.

I wouldn't hold your breath, a lot of B-series diesels to come our way in the coming years.

The V12 is sub 4 seconds, it's an absolute monster, with tuning....

Weak...even with the addition of another turbo it doesn't put out more hp/tq than the current M550D with 3 turbos.

It does, not much admittedly but it does produce more.
