Can our f30 xDrive be disabled so the car is RWD for donuts and burnout?

Yes, I roughly remember it to be a single fuse to disconnect (#32 possibly?) in that fusebox on the rear right corner of the engine bay.

It had to be disconnected on my car when it was on the dyno - xdrive didn't like the awd dynojet, engaging and disengaging randomly.

Oh shit. Did not know this. Someone please confirm which fuse?
If this allows me to go side ways in sport mode, this will be a fun weekend.

You could remove the front drive shaft for permanent AWD + weight reduction.

Yes it's fuse #32 that powers the transfer box. Can also be FDL coded on and off.

Sorry boys I'm keeping that one close to the vest for now because it's far from error free and also disables all DSC controls until you recode AWD. It's perfectly safe and easy for Dyno sessions but regular extended road driving is simply not a good idea with no DSC at all.

You could remove the front drive shaft for permanent AWD + weight reduction.
That's not really a significant weight reduction and just pulling the short front driveshaft doesn't disable the transfer box clutch so you'd still have ~20-40% of torque going to the front driveshaft connection. Also with AWD cars the weight comes from the front differential, the reinforcement plate, the front drive axles, the transfer box, and the front driveshaft. Just removing the driveshaft that's pretty much in the center of the car is not going to make a big difference in weight or weight distribution.

You can just change with ESYS module DSC > 3000 > C_Funktion_LaengsMomentVerteilung_aktiv_e > aktiv to nicht_aktiv
After you code this you will have RWD car WITH traction control, which can be turned off

there is only one thing, that all the time you will have orange DSC worning on dahboard.

This is like m x drive. Not sure why they don't make this an option in I drive since it is just software.

Any lasting issues after fuse is reinstated? I think I have a possible issue with my transfer case (hesitating etc) would like to try this and see how the car behaves but would like to know if the car returns to normal and I won’t need to get dashboard lights reset?
