Hello,

after 3 months wait I finally got delivery of my first BMW- 428 GC.

Made a thread few weeks earlier whether to upgrade to 435 or not but I stuck with my initial order. Its not heavily optioned out but thoroughly enjoying it.


There are some minor gripes about the car

a. dot matrix on the side windows for future tint (hopefully it will turn out ok)
b. no temperature sync button for auto climate control (oh well)
c. the slope of the front foot well (it dips down towards the firewall. didnt realize this)

but overall very nice car. i am happy camper

The Sportline highlights seem lost with the Coral interior... but love LOVE the coral red interior nonetheless. I wasn't convinced that I could pull off the "superman" look with my EB though, so opted for black SensaTec.

i think it was worth the wait. now i think of it, it would have drove me nuts to notice red stitching on base steering wheel against any other interior colours except black with red accents.

Kind of interesting how the CR extends to the glove box and dashboard--mine is black there.

you have f30/f31 right? i think its different from f32/36

I think that's right. Looks like it is a difference between the 328 and 428 GC. Neither have an option either. That is the only way the CR is done in those 2 models. In some cases, like saddle brown on certain models you can option the lower dash either way I think.

The dots/matrix pattern doesn't really affect a tint job.

Interesting the Canadian models are in KPH which threw me..I was like 'Huh??'..until I looked where you live . I think the clock display is in a different location than my '15 also. I'll have to look.

Think about adding the rear cargo mat..it'll save the cargo area carpet/etc from wear and tear. I haven't (yet) cut out the holes for the cargo net but nothing really seems to slide around there anyway. My cargo net is still in the bag in the side compartment lol.

Please take NOTE- the dots matrix make these car hard to tint -you must go to someone the has the experience in tinting widows with the matrix dots and frameless doors, also take in the fact that the window go down each time you open any door but if you get the right person you will be fine

True...most shops are fairly experienced if they're still in business. Ideally, a shop would remove the door panels to get the tint further down AND disconnect the battery so the windows don't drop..but they don't have to. Mine is perfect, dot matrix pattern and all.
