This might be a silly question and I searched up but couldn't find an answer.
If I leave the battery disconnected long enough would some important data be reset? I wonder for how long I can leave the battery disconnected without causing a problem.

Lots of data will be reset the second you disconnect the battery. Nav location, time/date, and if left off for a couple days adaptation values for the DME and transmission. If adaptations values are reset you may experience rough idle or the car stalling shortly after cold start. This is expected and the car just needs to run for a while to learn new adaptation values and the issue will self-heal.
