A/C heater turns on by itself

So this is a fun one.

Turned my car on, after warming it up for five minutes, I get in and it's cold outside so I then my heater on... Run it for about 10 minutes before deciding I'm way too hot and turn it off. Listening to music, cruising and look down and it's on. Think to myself... I could've sworn I turned it off... So turn I turn it off. Look back down after a couple minutes and it's back on... Turn it off... 15 seconds go by and it turns it self back on. Needless to say process repeats over and over.

I have owned the car for 3+ years it's a 2007 335i
Never set automatic controls on the car to have auto climate control.

Anybody deal with this issue or have a clue what it could be?
HELP!

auto switch may be going bad- making electrical contact when you hit a bump or something.

Make sure it's not at the lowest temperature setting. If it is turn it up a few degrees.

Might be to prevent the windows from fogging up.

What exactly are you turning on and off? Are you lowering the fan speed, or turning climate control all the way off? Or something else?

If you're just lowering the fan and it's raising itself back up, it could be the blower motor resistor.
