Changing Your Service number

Is it possible to change the number my car has in its 'your service' setting? My car was supplied by Riaz in Watford and it's their number which is displayed, but I'll be getting the car serviced much closer to home. As I understand it the car lets BMW know when it needs serviced and then the dealer who supplies the car then contacts you.

You need to change it using Tool32:

- Start tool32
- load NBT.prg
- Choose LESEN_TELEFONNUMMER
- Job execute (now you can see the actual phone numbers in your NBT)
- Choose SCHREIBEN_TELEFONNUMMER and put in the new numbers
- Job execute

You don't need to do the above at all on my car! I just went to main menu, vehicle information then press the option button then scroll down to service partner details, then you can change it to any dealership!

Changing via iDrive didn't work for me. So I did it via Tool32.

It didn't work or you didn't even have the option for it?

I just tried that. No option for me that I can see. Perhaps an LCI change?

Oh maybe, it's pretty smart you can search location or current location and it shows the dealerships on Google maps:

There is a form you fill in at dealership service dept.

Nothing complicated, changing it on the car does not notify the new service department.

It's rather simple TBH.

I'm pretty sure it does notify the dealership, it says so 2 pages before the shot I posted above.

You can do it through the online Connected Drive portal.

Settings -> Manage Vehicles -> Service Partner

I had a look at that. I'm not able to change anything on there though. It just gives me a phone number to call. It's the same for both of our cars.

Me too, but I went all the way to Listers Kings Lynn and they weren't great either!

Apparently Norwich Audi & Mercedes are much worse though, so at least there's that to be glad of!

Norwich Audi are okay, nothing special! I went to Kings Lynn once and no issues there but that was before their new showroom opened!

I think it all depends really, I'm willing to give Coopers another chance, I did buy the car from their group this time, so maybe they'll treat me more like their customer now.

Had another look in connected drive, can't see that option for service management. Had 10mins spare so I just update myself using tool32.

Have a look in "Contacts". I think the number will be found under a generic name like "DEALER" and I believe it can be changed there.
