My car has a thin metal rattling noise coming behind driver side dash over tarmac/slightly bumpy road. I couldn't quite pinpoint the location and its quite frustrating. To those lucky few that owns a M2, do you notice any rattling from your car as well?

You might have luck posting this in the 2 series forum as it is an identical interior... and, therefore, far more likely someone there will have experience with it and a fix

Get it fixed under warranty. This is not a Hyundai excel, it is a (in Australia) $100,000 car.

Think I heard that today. Though I'm pinpointing I to driver door just behind tweeter where door meets window.

My 2er has 20k on the clock and no rattles. Check for loose items?

lucky you. thats how it should be, but for some of us thats not the case. My previous m235 did not rattle, but the M2 unfortunately does.

Mine rattles too. Chalk it up to it being one of the first off the line. Minor inconvenience to have them fix it. Worth it in the grand scheme of things

My M235i had a plastic panel above the pedals way down the steering column which would rattle and I got it fixed with velcro so it wouldn't move around. Maybe check that?

It's just luck of the draw... BMW has been building the 2 series interior for a while so the M2 interior is not a first off the line sort of thing. No different than my M4. It rattles and squeaks a lot (and I've correct 90% of it) but others have had no issues.

OP, I always try to fix it myself. Have someone else drive the car and sit where you can find it. Dealers often make rattles worse and I have been successful in almost all of my cars in self identifying and fixing rattles.
