All I could find was this little blurb. Hopefully someone can scan it soon.

We’ve also got news of McLaren’s successor to the 650S which is due in 2017 with a downsized six-cylinder engine, the four door 365bhp BMW M2 GranCoupé, and a hot Volkswagen Up GTI.

I'd love a 4 door version! Is this legit or just trash talk?

It doesn't take a great leap of logic to anticipate that they will top the range off with an M2 GC. The only issue seems to be an internal debate within BMW as to whether the 2 series GC should have a hatchback.

Everything you said above doesn't change it from still being a rumor.

No car. No guarantee it'll happen. No estimated production.

I googled M2 GC and found a render (elsewhere). Looks awesome if it's close and it happens.

doubt they will do that. Its like saying M4 gran coupe, if you haven't noticed as yet but they are trying to keep options to a minimum to keep production cost down.

I would buy one as a dd 100%

Makes much more sense to me personally than the two door m2. Not enough of a sports car and too small for a daily with my small family.

Unlike the M2, my want for an M2 Gran Coupe is strong. BMW will have my money if they give it the M3 style fender treatment. The Golf TDI needs to be replaced within the next two years and an M2 Gran Coupe seems have all the right ingredients for 4 door usable street performance.

Oh my god yes. 4 doors, lift back, 40-20-40 rear seat? I'd change my order right now! If BMW can make a 5-series GT, they can build this, which would be an epic blend of sport, dynamics, practicality and looks. Would it even have any competitors?

The exactly opposite. I want them to take away the two stupid back seats and shed some weight off the car.

Okay 2 series GC - I can see coming. But not a M2 GC. M4 GC first before they ever touch the M2 GC.

This is getting a bit ridiculous.

IMO, this is not ever happening. At least on this generation.

Besides, 4 doors are for old people and I'm only 43 so I can only buy 2 door coupes. The 4 door thing is for my wife

I don't think it's possible to fit a door on the rear wheel arch.

May do it if proportion of buyers keeps increasing for the 2.
