Black is the best :-)
I've now been fortunate enough to have seen in person the White, LBB and Black. No joy on the MG just yet.
For me without doubt the black looks the best. The fenders look bigger and the whole car generally looks so much meaner :-) Just my personal opinion and of course the other colours are badass to. I'm just surprised how few black M2's seem to have been ordered. I'm getting mine in August and cannot wait. What an absolute beast this car is. I managed to test drive the animal last Friday and was blown away by the sound and power. |

Everyone is talking about the job black needs to keep clean. I'm not too worried to be honest, but do you have any specific products in mind for cleaning/waxing? Planning to protect the paint against chips? I wasn't planning on adding any protection, but I'm starting to think I should after reading how many people on here are. |

Not a lot of pictures of black M2s in the wild, I think I would get a black one with TE-37s as of right now

In general, everyone's going to tell you different products to use. Black is very nice, but it has to be a labor of love because it's so much work to keep clean (depending on how picky you are)

Black is definitely the best color of choice in my opinion but it comes with a price.
Picking up my BSM at the Welt on July 13th. |

BMW M2 in BSM receives a New Car Prep/ Xpel Paint Protection Film / Nanolex SI3D http://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1253766 I bought a few of the nanolex products. So far, so good. I'm going to purchase a foam gun and dryer. It should make cleaning a lot quicker and easier.

Beautiful pic(@ the OP)
For me it was like this when the M2 came out with only four colours to choose from: My 1M was white so no doubt white for M2. White(imho) stands for '//Motorsport', many M cars on track, where/are white as a base (colour) without the liveries off course. This also goes for some other manufacturers. But it didn't grow on me. Because the M2 is more rounded than the boxy 1M. Still I see a lot of cute white M2s overhere(metrickid) Anyway, I let that colour go. Then came MG. I still love that colour and being a bit less in your face and rather posh looking I showed it to the missus. She rejected it: It looked like the '05 330i E90 in Sparkling Graphite I had back then and she did not like that colour. At Brussels Autoshow back in january there was a 116i hatch(?) 'next' to the LBB M2. And my wife said: You will not choose that grey colour on your M2, otherwise! Then came LBB, the colour BMW advertises the M2 with. It's their propaganda colour almost. It's in your face. It's bright. It's a look-at-me colour. In my life I only had a few silver, a lot of black, a green(Impreza GTT) and only one blue(very dark Audi A3) car. I'm not into blue, or I wasn't. But define 'blue'. It's from almost dark/black(Carbonschwartz) to Silverstone(Lightgrey blueish) Black: The easy choice. 'Any' car will look great(alright) in black. M2 is no exception. Menacing yet exclusive etc. And hard to clean lol. So I'm very very very happy with my LBB. But black is my second colour in this case. Cheers Robin |

As much as I enjoyed going black, I don't think I'll go back...My dealership just received their 1st M2, she's black and gorgeous but I couldn't keep up with the girl to save my life...slowing down in my old age I guess.

People say that washing your car is like bonding with them. No thanks. I'd rather be inside drinking a beer when it's 97F outside and 90% humidity.
