Can I disable the JB4 and run a MHD custom map?

I was going to try a E85 MHD map on my car to see what it is like if I disable the JB4 can I do that and how do I monitor my trims timing etc? Any safety features with the MHD maps? I know my car acts up when I am monitoring while the JB4 is running with the MHD monitoring....

Martial highly recommends removing the jb4 completely before using mhd

Might as well because once you experience mhd you will never touch the jb4 again

What makes MHD so much better than jb4 with back end e85 flash?

Leave the white subconnector stock and turn the JB4 to mode 4/4 so it can't influence the tuning at all. Load up the MHD flash only map.

It's not. The most lethal setup is JB4/MHD BMS BEF.

In the DME box..do you not have a JB4? If you do then you should know exactly what I'm referring to.

Yes you can
Best set up is to stack the MHD with the JB4, where the JB4 manages the boost and MHD everything else...

Eh. I beg to differ. I had Jb4/BEF for year or so and just recently took my jb4 out to try mhd standalone and I am quite fond of it. Power is very similar but the big thing is there is almost no shift bog whereas with jb4/bef it was pretty bad. Besides that, it seems more consistent than jb4/bef.

The mhd post shift bog makes the car 100 times better

Unless you are running meth or port injection i see no benefit to the jb4

Did you go from the canned BEF to a custom MHD map?

a custom BEF can give you just as much as a custom MHD can.

OP, put JB4 into Map 0 if you are just wanting to try it. Ive taken logs of both the JB4 in Map 0 and the JB4 completely removed and there is not much difference, if any in my experience.

Both were OTS. I never had luck with fixing the shift bog with jb4, with mhd standalone it’s much, much better.

What is this shift bog? Is that an automatic issue? Or manuals as well?

Exactly what it sounds like. Car bogs when shifting. Aka you loose almost all boost when shifting and it takes a second when you re-engage the clutch for it to spool back up.
