I'm thinking about doing some upgrades in my car, is there a list of all the parts that changed between 05/2007 to 2012?

More specifically I really don't like how slow the bluetooth is in my car, how I can't stream music, playlist, and album data to it, how I can't control it using the steering wheel controls.

You need to go the audio subsection and ask this. Perhaps Technic or ctuna might be able to help you, but I suspect that there answer is going to be: everything. Your dates encompass the LCI changeover in 2009, where BMW changed much of the electronics and programming.
