Can "keyless go" be added later on?

I have always wanted the keyless go (not sure what BMW calls it) access option but I wasn't able to get in on my used 07. Is there a way to added to later, if so how much and who can do it.
Thank you
Mario

You mean Comfort Access.
Sorry, it isn't avaliable as a later on option. I am sure it is possible but would cost so much more...hehe

My default answer whenever somebody asks if something is possible is "yes".

In this case, you buy a car *with* CA and swap parts until your old car has CA, then re-sell the now-CA-less new car...

With infinite money and time just about everything is possible

What makes someone think options like these are bolt ons ? That's like me posting a thread asking how easy it would be to add 2 turbos and call my car a 335.

You guys are eternal pessimists

An acquaintance of mine owns a Mercedes Benz C320. Keyless Go was not even an option on this car. However, he managed to retrofit it into his car and make it 100% functional. He needed someone high up in MB Germany to help him obtain some of the codes / parts though. So, it's not totally impossible but quite impossible. LOL~

Because it looks cooler and is more convenient if I can just walk up to the car, open the door, push a button, and then drive off, without having to fiddle with the key.

+1 CA is an option you will NOT fully appreciate until you have experienced it firsthand period.

Totally agree with this even though there is nothing wrong with just the fob.

Nothing wrong with the fob when you're alone. If I had one hand on my wifey's waist walking her to the car, I probably wouldn't want to fiddle with the fob to unlock the car, I just want to grab the handle and pull the door open to let her in. LOL~

I wish we could just retrofit it so you dont have to insert the fob into the slot, most pointless design I've ever seen.

near-field and far-field RFID are totally different animals. if you hate putting your fob in the slot so much why didn't you order CA?

If you didn't get it used, just make sure to order CA.

Anything is retrofit-able. All depends on how much money you are willing to spend. People said bluetooth retrofit is impossible and there is absolutely no way to do it, yet Aoshinchanx did it with no problems. Sure it cost him a lot more then if he ordered it from factory, but whether its worth it is up to him.

If there is a will, there is a way. Do your own research and gather as much info as possible. Aoshinchanx is actually working on a CA retrofit right now. He calls it the 25% Comfort Access retrofit because he only wants to make it so that you dont have to use the key when you start the engine, but everything else you need the key. Im sure if you PM him he will give you all the info he has so far to help you out.

my E90 doesn't have it
my E93 does... honestly... no big difference
I still pull my key out to unlock the car.. the only difference is I dont put the key in the hole.. I just press Start...

I doubt it'd be a huge hassle for me to keep my key out and do it (I do it on my E90)
