godzmod, congrats on your new purchase!

I would say check out the picture and tire section and check out some of the wheels owned by the e90 post members. You might really see a set of wheels you like and make your decision. I still think you have enough time anyways!

Seems like these are sites that some have recommended (I haven't tried them myself):

I figure I should mention it. If you do end up ordering from tirerack use the link from the wheels and tires section of the forum. I know it's kind of a shameless plug but it helps support the site and makes it so less of the money to keep the site running comes outa mark and jason's pockets. Ok, off the soap box now...

I personally like BBS wheels, but if I were to get another, I'd probably be looking at the OZ Superleggara III's or the Breyton Spirit's.

godzmod, seem like you havent check price for wheels for a long long time. back in the days, yes wheels are very expensive. today we have so many comapny out there that are making them much cheaper, therefore other companys have to drop their prices too. dont get me wrong, there are companies out there that are selling wheels with sky high prices but they are the newer 2 or 3 pieces forged wheels. if your price range is 2k, you should be able to find a really decent set of wheels. if i was you, since you are from the east coast, i would wait throughout the winter and try to find the best deal. no rush for you, you cant use them anyways. i am sure from now to spring you can find a good set of wheels for cheap.

You do not have to adjust suspension, only if you want to. I would recommend you buy the best rims you can afford, whatever style you like.

I like BBS, ADVAN, HRE, DPE to name a few, I am a repeat Volk customer.

Are you planning on selling your 162's? I'm looking for the RFT's ... I have the wheels.

The model number is 162 ... very popular and there are tons of pictures on this site if you want to see what your car will look like.

They are about $1300 + shipping and Tax on bmwwheels.com.

Thanks for the reply!
