I recently had DINANTRONICS Performance Tuner Stage 1 and Dinan's Free Flow Exhaust with Black Tips installed on my F36. I love the new exhaust note, and the added performance is fun on the freeway! Check out the youtube video of me starting up my 435xi GC.

Tell us more about the performance increase. Does the output feel worthy of the price?

My car has been acting unusual every since I had the DINANTRONICS software upgrade.

Once it said it was too warm, I received a warning chime and a warning in the idrive & dashboard status. This cleared after I got home and the car cooled down.

Also on 2 occasions my car has gone in a reduced power (limp) mode. It feels much slower than Eco Pro mode when this happens. This does not result in a warning light or chime, so I have no indication when and why. Both times I was in Sport and Manual mode.

I will report back later this week once my dealership determines what the issue is.

Make sure they check to see if the Dinan unit is running the latest firmware. They should also be checking to make sure all physical connections are tight.

thx for reaching out, i don't think our issues are the same. plus i just had my DINANTRONICS installed last month, so I would expect to have the latest firmware. My dealership is a certified DINAN installer so I will let you know what they find this week. Thanks again!

What's the update. I don't even know why you went with DINAN, just my opinion of course.

engine cooling fan failed, it was replaced so all should be good now.

I went with DINAN to keep my warranty intact. I know most of you feel DINAN is overpriced but I rather not risk my warranty to save a couple hundred bucks on a $50k+ car.

okay nice. It's not that it's expensive that is besides the point, lol, who cares about that really (many do), bottom line the performance PER dollar is embarrassing for Dinan. Good Luck

I don't think its embarrassing performance per dollar when it keeps the 4yr/50k mile warranty intact? did you read my first email on my reasoning?

Dinan is highly successful not because they suck?

I agree with you. peace of mind costs something and it's great when BMW some dealers offer it so it's just 1 business you have to deal with during the warranty period.

I'm tempted to install the stage 1 at the moment

I'm currently running Dinan Stage 2 in my 2015 435 xdrive with MPE, and completely love it, and no issues what so ever!

Now, do yourself a favor, buy the SprintBooster and add that too, set for the highest level and will wait for your response. I have one on my 335i and have loved it and just added one to my wifes 435i GC and really makes it much more responsive.
