Are they really out there?
Just for giggles, I did an Autotrader search to see how many M2s US dealers were still trying to sell. I sorted it by price (low to high).
Naturally, I found some crazy markups (Rusnak in 1000 Oaks is asking $82xxx. Good luck with that). However, there still seem to be a few places that are asking list, or close to it. Anchorage, AK? OK, I imagine there isn't a huge BMW market up there. But, Monrovia CA, and Mt. Kisco, NY both allegedly have cars at list. I'd be unsurprised if the real deal turned out to be something a bit different. I've got mine, but if anyone is looking, it might be worth a shot. EAG has already gotten their mitts on at least three. Color me shocked. |

Keep in mind most dealers have cars automatically listed, even if they are already sold or spoken for.
I bet if you started calling, most, if not all, of those M2's will be sold. |

I knew some were available. I was trying to keep quiet about it, but I suppose it wouldn't matter. I'm super tempted, but I just bought my M235i and don't know how much I'd lose trying to trade it in for a M2. I'm also not overpaying for one. I watch that guy from Rusnack on Youtube. I like his videos, they're informative and he seems really enthusiastic, and into it. I had a feeling they would be asking a lot for their M2. I watched the video with the pretty female dealer, who I guess is selling it; and they didn't even mention the price. They always show the price in their videos, but not that time. |

For the last few years EAG have been buying up just about every low mileage E46 M3 manual available. They alone have boosted the E46 M3 market. Now they have their eyes set on the M2. They must know something. |
