Bought this a couple of months ago, never installed it and now have sold the car.

Basically lets you install a rear view camera + front camera and has input for other interfaces as well.

I would think you can use any aftermarket camera with this. Including those ebay ones that fit into f30 trunks.

They all use the same standard input.

What options are required in the car for this to work? Or will it work with a base hifi, non-nav radio?

I stand corrected, this will work for Nav or Non-Nav, audio system has no impact on this.

That's weird and doesn't add up since the head unit is the exact same for the coupe/sedan.

On the manual it literally says the following:

BMW 3 Series (F30)(F31)(F34)(F80) 2012-2016

Doesn't even mentioned the F32 4 series which is what I bought and confirmed it works for. Pretty sure they just need to get their documentation in order.

They all use the same exact head unit lol.
