Comparison of M2 and M6 side by side

I sold my M6 six weeks ago, but met up with my good mate who bought it, and we enjoyed a drink looking at the the two M's.

The stance of the M6 is still incredible, low and wide. Although the M2 arches are more flared in relation to its body.
M6 is surprisingly lower than the M2 (look at the roof line)

Both look fantastic!!

Nice photo set.

For quite some time now I've thought the 6 series in general but especially the front looks very old school BMW and very much in need of the update.

Its quite striking how much of a barge the 6 looks next to the 2 though. M2 is certainly a nicer size imho. Im not a fan of having to park long vehicles.

The 2 series, like the sedans, is keeping the original BMW proportions when compared to the 4/6 series coupes. I would think you get better visibility out of the taller greenhouses. It seems BMW is trying to create a sleek look with its higher model coupes. Some people like OG BMW look, some like the new low slung sleeker look. I love the way the M2 looks but sometimes wonder how awesome it would look if they would have lowered the seats an inch and also lowered the roofline an inch. Aybe too M4ish?

Nice to see an M2 owner from the North of England. I ordered LLB but bottled it and get MG.

Hmm, i think in M6 guise it still looks good. Is it 2019 the 6 gets an update - quite a while to go yet!

Yeah, agree M2 is a much easier size to live with and yes - you can really see how much longer the M6 is!

Its just the M6 looks lower, surpassingly so. In fact, when i parked the M6 next to most cars it made them look too high and narrow. M2 has fabulous promotions, maybe it would be good to be a little lower, but agree it could go too M4 otherwise...

Both look great but I do slightly prefer the M6!

I'd love to come to a Manchester meet but it's still 120 miles from me
