Brake pad warning

So I just got the m Perf brakes installed and the vehicle is telling me my rear pads need changing. Is this something I need the dealer to reprogram. Is there a way I can do this?

Have they run out of mileage on the service indicator, or have you got a faulty/triggered brake pad wear sensor?

If just the service counter, you can reset this yourself. With ignition on press and hold odo reset until service menu appears. Scroll to Front/Rear brake and perform reset.

If the physical brake pad sensor has been triggered, you need a new one.

The brakes are brand new, this happened right after they were installed. It's just the service counter like u said. I'll try what you said. Thx
