Disount off price when ordering
I was just wondering what sort of discounts people are managing to get (if any) when ordering their new X1?

Uh oh, this could be one of those "here's what you could have won" threads for me
I got 6% off the total cost of the car + options. Not sure how that compares. We'll see... |

I'm in the UK. I got online quotes from coast2coast & broadspeed. Both offered discounts of 9%. My local dealer matched them.
As already mentioned, there are a number of factors to bear in mind, for example : - You often get a bigger discount if you are taking out BMW finance to pay for the car (e.g. PCP) - Look at the cost to change - i.e. make sure any discount isn't eroded by a poor trade-in offer. Appreciate in starting this topic, i also had the same question. Since its a new model was interested to know coz when i compare from a US model (base model) + all the options it comes cheaper than the same configuration in my country (even though there are no taxes and and any cost except car price).
Btw i managed around 6% |

ordered sDrive 20i X-line with a fair share of options (17k worth of options),
it is a 2 year/50 000km lease, unfortunately in my country (Slovakia) BMW Financial Services is just a brand name operated by one of the banks, unlike the others germans (Mercedes, VW/Audi have their own financial subsidiaries of the german manufacturer-owned baks), so there is one more company that needs to earn some cash, but BMW is quite heavily discounting the prices to stay competitive, otherwise the X1 would cost as much to lease as the Mercedes GLC with similar engine/options included but listed 10k+ above X1. I am just stating all these details because comparing discounts with the one I got is rather difficult if you are coming from a country where BMW FS is a BMW owned company. I've got 12,3% down from sticker + full insurance included. I could have taken a deal without insurance package, discount would be higher, and I probably would be able to get slightly better insurance deal, but I a first time leasing a car and I really want to have the full benefit of simply having a long-term rental rather than having to care about stuff. Interestingly enough, the same car in Germany would have about 2k lower sticker, but even if i would get the same discount, due to the higher insurance rates in Germany my mothly lease payment would be roughly 18-20% higher |
