Another 320d dpf problem please advice...
Hello!
I have a bmw 320d from 2006. M47N2 163hp. The car came original with dpf, now the car has around 230 000km. It gave me some dpf errors on dash, I went to mechanics and they said we have to try dpf cleaning. Made that and after 3 weeks I went on holyday. When I was about 500km from home the car started to show me the regeneration sigh on dash. After that the car would not start. I found some mechanics and they gave me one single solution: To break the dpf... So one of them took a screw and made a hole in dpf and also on katalizator. They told me that also need to write some software for stopping the engine to regenerate the dpf... made that... The car made from that event another 3000KM. It smells really bad... Now for me seems expensive to buy a new DPF filter because the car already have 10 years. Can I mount an universal Katalyzator and if yes what type do you recomend? Tried to ask this on some exhaust specialist but I could not find two answers the same. Please give me an advice! |
