What’s your vehicle’s status?

Status check is A-OK

Took my 2010 335i E92 to my trusted mechanic the other day to have some minor things checked or replaced. At 6 years, 6 months, and 73200+ miles, I figured it’s time to have a little checkup.

1 . Cooling system check - Ok: Low coolant light came on a few weeks ago and I had to had some distilled water. Trusted mechanic inspected the cooling system (including timing belt/ and water pump) for leaks and stress tested it. Said everything was working fine.
2. Alignment check - Ok: Got new Michelin PSSs a month ago and just wanted to be sure the alignment is still good.
3. Rotted windshield rubber molding – Replaced
4. Right rear brake light – Replaced

All other vehicle service items in my iDrive Vehicle status are OK. Next oil change according to the vehicle status is due in another 3200 miles.

Other than that, this bad boy is running fine just like has been from the day I first drove it home brand spanking new. Still waiting for the replacement air bag call to bring it in, but I am still driving it.

All good, safe and sound in the garage...I did notice that typical grime around the steering shaft where it meets the rack. I would lose sleep if the steering got worked on and the feel disappeared.

Wonder what caused your low coolant if no leaks..

I did mine recently, really easy and not terribly expensive. Over 90k on original parts so its your call.

Not sure. I hadn't had a coolant flush since I first got the car so I guess the 6+ year old coolant just wore out due to age?
Will ask my trusted mechanic when I pick up the car.

Serpentine belt... repeat... serpentine belt...

If you can see it, it's not a timing belt....

And the water pump is electric...

All is well with mine except for the usual OFHG. I plan on doing that and cleaning the intake valves next weekend.

My trusted mechanic charged me $75 (including labor). Not too bad I guess considering the molding itself costs around $30+ based on prices I have searched online.
