E90 Performance exhaust on E92
Hi
I have an opportunity to buy a used Performance exhaust in perfect condition for good money, however it is meant for the E90/91 model. I have read some stuff and most people say that the E90 and E92 mufflers are identical considering hangers and fitment, the only difference is the exhaust pipes being ~1 inch longer in E92 - this should be easy to correct in any muffler workshop I guess. There is just one thing that bugs me - when I check any store with brand new parts, the PE for any 325i comes only for auto transmission (here for example: http://www.salesafter.eu/product_inf...n52n-n53-.html ). Does the gearbox really make a difference here? I'd like to get this exhaust for my E92 325i with a manual gearbox, but I am not sure whether it will fit properly without some big modding. Thanks for help! |

Thanks, avocet
Any info on auto/manual transmission differences? Could it be even possible that same cars with different transmissions had different mufflers? |
Appreciate
