Moonstone 330i w/ 20" Bronze HREs - European tour // New video added #14
I recently got my new F30 LCI 330i xDrive delivered that I ordered back in November '15. I specced the car with Moonstone Individual color with a Oyster interior. I wanted something different so I selected the car with the Luxury Line.
Among the first things that I did to the car, was the KW Variante 1 installed and replace the standard wheels with a set of 20" HRE FF01 in Bronze (or IPA as they call it). My wife and I had plans to go on a tour in Europe as soon as the car arrived and that's what we did. So here's some pictures from along the way, including a visit to the BMW Welt and the BMW Museum. The whole trip was something like Finland-Sweden-Denmark-Germany-Austria-Italy-France-Monaco-France-Andorra-France-Spain-France-Switzerland-Lichtenstein-Austria-Germany-Denmark-Sweden-Finland. So here goes... Enjoy! The trip started in Helsinki harbour with a ferry to Stockholm. After the ferry, we drove thru Sweden towards Denmark. Then we took another ferry from Sweden to Denmark. The weather was pretty nice in Denmark, but we only stopped to take this one picture as we were heading to a third ferry from Denmark to Germany. First stop in Germany to fill up the car and resume the drive toward Munchen. Finally in Munchen we visited the BMW Welt. The picture is from the parking facility in the Welt. Then some pictures from the Welt and the Museum. Of course we had to take some photos of the car in front of the Welt too After Germany we headed for some time in Austria, more precicely in Zirl. We managed to find and book the same nice hotel that we had a few years back when skiing in Austria. After Zirl, we headed towards Italy. In Torbole, next to Lake Garda in Italy. In Malcesine, also a small village next to the Lake Garda. After Italy, we headed to spend some time in Monte Carlo, Monaco. After spending a few days in Monaco, we headed towards the south of France, thru Nice and Saint Tropez. We also stopped in Palavas-Les-Flots and La Grande Motte in France. We also visited the village of Aigues-Mortes. After that, we headed towards Andorra but my wife wanted us to stop in a very small village in Montaillou. There was like maybe two cars in the whole village and maybe 20-30 people living in it. Was a very beautiful place though... After Montaillou, we found some nice roads towards Andorra. Also the sights were pretty nice. My wife taking a picture of the sights. After spending some time in the southern parts of France, Andorra and a short visit to Spain, we headed to Paris. In Paris we visited the castle of Vaux-Le-Vicomte. I have to say, this place was worth the visit. Again, a nice picture of the car with some cool background As we were in Paris, we also visited the Palace of Versailles. I still liked the castle of Vaux-Le-Vicomte more. Oh and of course we had to stop by and see the Blizzard office since it was so close to Versailles After Paris, we headed to Switzerland, and to CERN. In CERN, we had a nice guided visit from one of the professors working there. They also had the worlds first web-server in show at CERN. One of the last places to visit, before starting to head home, we visited the Gorges du Fier. And after all this we headed home thru some almost the same route. The total length of the trip was 8413 kilometers. So quite a lot of driving, but on the other hand, I cannot say that it felt like so much. As a closing, I really like my new car even though its my first 330 with a 4-banger.

Gorgeous photos. Very envious of your trip. I have visited the Palace of Versailles twice before and have still not seen all of it - what a incredible piece of history. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks all for your comments! It really was an extremely good experience. Many of the places are something that we had visited before. Our last similar roadtrip was 1,5 years ago (in the winter), in order to do some skiing in the Alps. At that time I had an F10 530d xDrive.

We spend 15 days on this trip. Some days had a lot more driving then others. Heh, thanks It was a must when being so close to their office So far I've been very happy with the KW v1 on the car. Escpecially when combined with a set of lighter wheels, the car feels so much more nimble and lighter. And obviously the car looks a lot nicer when lower. It's currently set as low as possible, so that the wheels/tires do not scrub at all.

Today after washing my car, I decided to take a couple of photos, while it's still clean and shiny.
The Individual Moonstone color is very hard to take photos of, since it keeps changing depending on the angle of the light and viewer. It also differs quite much when the sun is shining, compared to when its cloudy. Here is a pair of similar pictures, one in direct sunlight and one when cloudy;

Today, after washing the car (and being a bit bored) I decided to take a couple of video shots of the car with my BlackMagic camera, just in the yard, nothing fancy...
Thanks, The tire specs are 235/35/20 and 265/30/20. No rubbing at all, even with the lowered suspension. The wheels are 20x8,5 and 20x10.
