How to tell what springs I have

I am trying to figure out what springs I have on my 97 e92 335i. I bought the car as a CPO vehicle in 2010 and have decided to finally change out the suspension this summer.

Everyone asks me if I've lowered my car. I tell them no. It's not an X and so they are lower by nature, I have 19s (Style 230) on it and I have a bit of an oversized rear tire (PSS 255/35R19). You'll notice a larger gap upfront than in the back too...

well this weekend I put on 15mm spacers. I'm having a hard time convincing myself it not running some lowering springs.

I've typed in the part number on the struts and they come back as the stock non-sport suspension. The VIN details don't mention a sport package. This is where is gets tricky tho: I bought it from the dealer with the 230s, but they were obviously added by the previous owner. So that tells me that he/she may have also added lowering springs - (thinking the msport springs) to the stock struts.

How can I tell?

Thanks

Patrick

It's definitely lowered. H&R comes to mind as I've had those before and it looks very similar but you won't know until you get inside. Also, when are you fixing that curb rash? Good luck and have fun with the face lift.

All of the coupes got sport package suspension.

If you've never refreshed the suspension, then its low because your strut mounts are sagging. My '06 did the same thing. I gained an inch when I put new suspension on. I think 1/2" was from the Bilsteins, but I think the other half was from the mounts.
