MY16+ 3 series have LED headlights as an option. Beware the LED package for 328 and 340 are all adaptive (but more expensive), but the 320 has only LED's without the adaptive functionality.
MY14+ 4 series have LED headlights as an option. The other options you mentioned are available on 3 and 4 series as long as it's not the 320. Other packages are subjective so I would read through the details online and see if you care for them during a test drive at the dealer. |

The Adaptive LED package on the 328 is not expensive, check the configs on the BMW website. It's certainly worth the $800 to ditch the Halogens. The 340 comes with non-adaptive standard without spending extra money. The non-adaptive LED's are just fine on their own. I doubt the LED package is very common on dealer stock 328's or 320's without the M-Sport package. Getting the options you want on anything but a 340 is going to require ordering, I'd bet. Tech Package (with HUD) and M-Sport 340's are likely to be pretty easy to grab out of dealer stock if you aren't too color-picky (my local dealer only ever seems to have them in black and white).

LED headlights for the 3 series was a recent change unless you actually mean LED Halo sections (with the xenon projector unit for the headlight) then you can get MY12 onwards

So, if you're fine with Xenon's (more than fine IMO), then you can get these on a MY12 - MY15 as well. Quote:
The lighting package on MY12 - MY15's included Xenons for $900 only. M sports on dealer lots are not common, tech package is more common for sure. Last edited by Pauleebe; 07-05-2016 at 10:37 AM.. |

Considering he wanted M-Sport, the premium package was an assumption if he's looking at downgrading from his 335 to a 328. I'm pretty sure you'd have to factory order if you wanted M-Sport and none of the premium package bits, at least for the 328's. I'd guess there are more oddly configured, near-stripped 320's floating around than the higher models. The OP has a 335...I was under the impression that he does not want a stripped car considering his post mentions most of the expensive options anyway.
At the end of the day, addressing the OP, if you are looking to buy used, I think you're better off surveying local dealer websites and seeing how the cars you can actually find for the price you want to pay are configured. I think we'd have an easier time giving you our heavily biased opinions on the option choices that are actually available to you. Flat out, though, I spent almost 3 years with the F30 Halogens. They are horrid. The worst headlights I'd had on a car in 20+ years. I'm thankful I never did any real dark, country driving with my 328. Xenon or LED...either one is dandy compared to the Halogens. |

puchase made
good morning gentleman,
for now I'm going to keep the 2011 E90 series and I have made a purchase last night on a 2013 335i I like it because it's really well optioned and it's under $35,000 nd 35k miles. so still under factory warranty for a little bit I'm surprised to see that the Route 66 warranty has gone up from 2500 to $3,000 I'm not sure if anyone else is aware as my current vehicle has the Route 66 warranty which I just purchased back in February along with the car. anyhow I'm happy with the purchase don't have any pictures of I'll be waiting for delivery of the vehicle out of state but as a tad bit here is the options list. Options & Features? B39 - MINERAL GREY METALLIC LCLZ - BLACK, DAKOTA LEATHER SEAT TRIM w/exclusive stitching 4AT - HIGH GLOSS BLACK TRIM ZMM - M SPORT 18" x 8.0" front & 18" x 8.5" rear star-spoke light alloy wheels (style 400M) w/P225/45R18 front & P255/40R18 rear run-flat performance tires sport seats estoril blue matte highlight trim finishers aluminum hexagon interior trim M steering wheel M footrest aerodynamic kit shadowline exterior trim anthracite headliner chrome rings around A/C & radio controls sport instrument cluster signature key M sport suspension ZDA - DRIVER ASSISTANCE PKG rearview camera park distance control active blind spot detection side & top view cameras ZDB - DRIVER ASSISTANCE PLUS lane departure warning forward collision warning speed limit info ZPP - PREMIUM PKG comfort access keyless entry lumbar support satellite radio w/1-year subscription Dakota leather seat trim ZTP - TECHNOLOGY PKG navigation system head-up display online info services smartphone integration BMW Assist w/enhanced Bluetooth & USB BMW apps real time traffic info instrument cluster w/extended contents 688 - HARMAN/KARDON SURROUND SOUND 494 - HEATED FRONT SEATS. I sincerely appreciate everyone's help and now I'll be able to get a comparative view on both vehicles for some time. I already know what to expect with the steering so I'm well aware of that. I hope it's not too big of a downfall as I really really like my 2011 335 I just realized I didn't like the electronics that much even though my current vehicle is really well option as well I figure if you're going to buy used might as well get the best options and the best mileage
