2006 330XI unexpected muffler delete mod

My oem muffler broke at the weld on the way to work. Sounds pretty damn good though. Quick video before I have it repaired this weekend

I dunno man. I saw a local 328i with a muffler delete - it sounded like a 1987 Ford Taurus would after 30 years of beatings and the muffler finally fell off. It sounded horrible. I don't get it..

Having a loud and obnoxious exhaust is great fun until you get tired of it. Then it becomes unbearable.

But yes, there is good sounding loud then there is sh%tty sounding loud.

OP's exhaust doesn't sound that bad in the vid! I bet he had fun riding around playing race car until he got her fixed!!!

I wish there was some way to easily switch from muffers to no mufflers (while driving), for occasional no-muffler pleasure.

Lol I had a great time. My mpg however, couldn't say the same

Thanks! I figured there were manual solutions but didn't even look for an electronically controlled one... and of course I would only ever use this "off road"

yeah, now ever time I hear a 1987 ford tempo coming down the street with the muffler hanging on by a coat hanger, I think it's going to be a 328i with a muffler delete..
