Gas leak
Hello I have gas leaking from my rear drivers side and there's a strong smell of gas outside the car after it's been started. I haven't noticed any drop in gas mileage so I've been lazy in trying to inspect where the leak might be. Was wondering if anyone has any experience with this kind of issue? I have a 2007 335i

Mine does this when I over fill the tank, I just thought it was an over flow spitting it back out. Never known it on any other cars I've had though. There is a lot of talk about the tanks splitting and it costing around £500 to get it sorted. Something to do with having to disconnect the drive shaft to get the old tank out and new one in. Until mine gets worse, I'll just stop at the first click as it doesn't seem to "leak" then.

Yes gas smells awesome and I'm well aware of how flammable gas is. was wondering if possibly it could be an oil leak? My gas doesn't really change overnight. Car drives fine and you only notice the smell outside the car lol

Might want to get this addressed right away.
It could be anything from a tank seal to a hose or line. I wouldn't drive it until you find the source of the leak. I would hate to hear it went up in flames on the side of the freeway.
