Driving music

just now and again you stumble upon an album that you think is just fantastic.

I get that music is individual taste but I do love an album that sounds great in the car so today in the office on iTunes I stumbled upon Sirens of the Sea Remixed, by Oceanlab.

It wont be to everyone's taste Im sure but if you like a bit of electronic / trance which isn't just banging bass, give it a listen. Yet to come across a track on it I don't like.

This is especially good

Keen to hear anyone else's recommendations for the car !

Absolutely loving Swedish House Mafia, One Live Tour from LA just an epic continuous mix of 1hr plus. HK bass tested to the max and not always able to deliver. Encourages high speeds for sure!

Love that cheers. I'll check the album out for sure.

I have playlists for differing moods, plus one for kids which I regret! 'Play frozen daddy', 'play what dos the fox say', 'play King caractacus'.....

Electronic trance is great for driving alone, but I like a bit of symphonic metal when the mood strikes, and of course the ordinary rock/pop type stuff for background when tootling around.

Loving 'sound of silence' by disturbed at the mo.

Got a few oceanlab tunes on the ipod, its a bit 90's now, same with Dash Berlin (laid back trance type)

Ultimate drive faster music is certainly The Prodigy

Im listening to latest Defected album at present, The Opening Party Ibiza 2016 plenty of good summer tunes on there.

Ive also been listening to Oasis alot, rediscovered Definitely Maybe and forgot what a great album that was.

Your music choice is as good as you colour choice! Great Balearic house mixes. Hadn't heard before but just checked out some mixes on soundcloud and impressed.

The last couple of days I have driving in North Wales, really good time and brilliant roads with stunning scenery.

While banging down the A5 in the really twisty bits, I was listening to this.

Now I am not usually a Take That person, however with Sigma it is actually good and gives a bit of fun for when you scare the shit out of yourself as you realise you are too fast for the bend lol.

I also had some Paloma Faith time was well.

Various State of Trance albums are regulars in my car, as are the various Hybrid albums and Sasha Involver (all 3), particularly the original Involver:

And here was me thinking I didn't know anyone who liked Above and Beyond. I have loved them for years, in fact one of my favourite groups/composers call them what you will. Was gutted when I missed out on tickets for the recent tour in the UK.

If you have Spotify or equivalent then check out Little Something Live from Wembley by A&B. A great live album.

Likewise! I don't really know anyone who shares my late 90s / early 2000s trance obsession but I listen to it probably the majority of the time.

My favourite A&B:

And something in a similar style, might appeal to some people:

Certainly was but it's been a while. Have both 1210s and CDJs but it's been over 3 years since I've had the CDJs out and longer for the 1210s. 2 kids has put paid to it.

If you like house music, here's a mix I did a wee while ago.

I am a big fan of Cicada - good driving tunes.... again, bit of electronica.

Also check out Dirty Vegas! One of my fave bands. Again, electonica based.
