ACS vs Eibach Pro springs

Hi,
In a few weeks the 440 xDrive GC will arrive to the dealership. I have ordered a set of BBS CH-R 20" with 235/35 front and 275/30 back. I would like to have a moderate lowering and so I would like to know which ones provide the least lowering and best ride of the two. In a bit of a hurry as the dealer will put them on when the car arrives since he is already putting on the MPPSK... Ideally I would order the springs tomorrow.

What should I go for?

Edit: btw the Eibachs are 100$ cheaper and quicker delivery

The ACS are the popular choice. I would not rush into it and do some research on coilovers.

Are the ACS springs compatible with the 2017 440's?

I also suggest to wait and research coilover options. Stiffer springs + lowered suspension + soft OEM shocks will create unwanted problems that some can leave with and others can't (the more common case).

There are many threads on this sub-four discussing , including this one:

Have no experience with coilovers, wouldnt the functionality with the adaptive suspension be lost?

Anyways, ordered a set of ACS..will try and see.

With just lowering springs you will still need either the Dinan adaptive suspension software upgrade or go with the KWs in the link below. otherwise the dampers won't be able to keep up with the stiffer springs/lower height. Nor were they designed to.

I've been running ACS springs on factory adaptive dampers for a year and am overall very happy with the behavior of the pairing.

Not to say the shockware (or similar) wouldn't be an upgrade but to say it's a must-have is a bit of a stretch.

There is at least one kit and maybe two that work with factory EDC. Otherwise you would have to code out the option to eliminate the functionality as well as the error codes/lights if you were to replace the dampers with non-EDC coilovers.

If you say so. The dampers were never designed to work with lower/stiffer springs. You may end up with the dampers wearing out prematurely. That's why I suggest not just changing out springs.

ACS, Dinan, etc -- all companies that devote engineering resources to matching springs to factory dampers.

If you read the UK boards it seems very common over there to run ACS springs on the stock shocks with xDrives. Could investigate to see how many have problems with the OEM shocks, from what I've seen not many. Dinan also currently recommends the ACS springs for use with shockware on the 340xi since there is no eta on Dinan 340xi springs. I'm seriously considering ACS springs / shockware / Dinan sways for my 340xi.

Good to hear! I also think ACS will work just fine with OEM. Maybe I'll upgrade further later on, time will

Would be good to hear from the ACS or Dinan guys if they recommend changing out the stock dampers or not.
