Hi,

Asking here since that's where the experts are, different dealers give me different responses... Looking at ordering a 2017 430 xdrive convertible, and I'd love to get the trunk load-through (for skis etc). Anyone know if that's part of a specific option or package, or if it's the default, or perhaps something else entirely?

Unless they changed something on the 2017 models, the load through is standard on non-M4 convertibles.

I have the f33 and I believe it's part of the extended storage option (in the uk). There is storage behind the seats but that's for the deflector when not in use.

Just ordered my 440xi Convert. The load though doesn't exist due to the fact that the wind deflector is stored behind the rear seats. However, that being said.. the BMW.de site shows show the rear seats allow themselves to be folded down to allow for through storage AND the specifically mention skies!

HOWEVER!
based on the code for the through load system [Durchladesystem], 465.. It seems that it is Standard for our US models.
Only thing that seems to be different from the past options, is that it doesn't seem to include the ski bag.

I'm heading to my dealership tomorrow.. I'll check it out on one of their convertibles for you.

If the deflector is removed you have the choice to fold full seat back down or lower/remove armrest.

Yupe... went to my dealer and they had a 428 convert in the showroom. The load through in the back seat is removable. Once you pull it out and stow it, you would have access to the trunk once the wind deflector is removed, and the load through panel is opened.
