Planning to keep your 435 for long time?
Anyone planning to keep 435 or 335 for long time(more than 5 years)?
Will it last more than 100,000 miles without any problems? |

My 2012 335i has 60k miles and I plan to keep for another couple of years at least unless something major happens. My wife's X5 has 92,000 miles. Our previous 528i wagon had >180,000 miles with a very reasonable level of maintenance.

No, actually its only an experiment after driving more than 30 years other brands. Im nearly done with it and awaits only the release of my next car, then the bimmer got sold and surely it is the first and would be the last.

1. Yes...10 years and approximately 120,000 km are likely.
2. Are you kidding? Very few cars have no problems for 100,000+ miles. |

Same here. The notion that "engines are only rated for 50K miles and then they melt fairly quickly" is complete and utter nonsense. I've owned cars with >100K miles that had zero engine problems. If you maintain an engine properly, especially the engine (oil changes, coolant flushes, etc.), the engine will outlast everything else.

Facetious...does that mean "Canadian"? I'm half French-Canadian myself, and I stand by the notion that the US and Canada are two great nations separated by a common language...

The car as any car in the world will need some work during these 100k miles but these engines are solid. I see them lasting for more than 200k miles
