335is tires..
Hey guys, I got a 2011 335is and I'm looking at tires, I was wondering if I can go with 265/40/18 on my stock 313's rims for my rears. Will it rub or will I be good? What do you guys recommend for the front? 235/40/18? Thanks and I've tried looking online for information but there aren't that many 335is so its hard.

Yeah that is a descent choice. Do you have a sports package (18" stock wheels)? Well either way it will not rub. I just got 19" 235/35/19 front and 260/40/19 back and it rubbed a bit on hard turns. Got some spacers and it was fine. Although the dumbest decision I ever made. I knew 20" would be stupid, but did not know 19"s would play such a huge difference too. The car lost at least 20% of its acceleration, it takes way longer to stop and overall maneuverability is way worse. I would definitely wish I could go back and get 18s. Just aim for the same diameter of wheel and rim together to match your stock setup to maintain the proper ratio. If you go up an inch on the rim, I would try to go for 235|265/35/18.

The 18's are a little less wider than the 19's on the style 313s (8in F 8.5in R. vs. 8.5in F 9in R ) so 265/40 will give it a slight meaty look on the back. But you should be fine. I personally would go with a 255/35.

If you have the 18" 313's, your rims/tires should be the same size as all 328/335i cars with the sport package so almost all of the information on this board will apply.
I'm getting rid of the RFT's and going with PSS's in stock sizes. They run wider than stock and the 265/35 is not recommended (too wide) for the stock rim per the manufacturer. |

stock 18's i believe the tire size is 225/40 and 255/35
when people upgrade to 19's they are usually running 235/35 in the front and 265/30/19 in the back. for me because of the offset of style 95's, i had to go a little smaller 225/35 and 255/30 now im on oem 359 running 235/35 and 255/30. both 95 and 359 are 19x10 in the back with different offset. 313 i believe are less aggressive and you should be able to run 235/35 and 265/30 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=931153 |

The "is" model is different from the regular 335i. It has oil cooling vents in the front wheel wells. This will cause rubbing if you go too wide.
I have 19s on 313... 235 will rub so I stuck with 225 and looking to add 10-12mm spacers... |

I recently had 265's mounted on my 18" 313 rear wheels, not sure of the aspect ratio, my fenders are rolled, they rubbed a little on the right side at first, but now don't touch at all. Michelin Pilot Sports, they look PHAT.

I have 235/40/18 front 265/35/18 rear Theyre great but the fronts rub just a little bit on the little plastic over thing for the 2 vents. I should have gone 235/35 up front |

On 18's I think you would be fine.. kinda tricky though. Michelin pss tend to run a bit bigger than hankook for example I think. I'm on 19's and kept the stock 225/255 with pss but I'm running spacers also... no rubbing but it's very close, I also deleted my rear seats. If I went up to 235/265 I think I would rub a bit

I ran 265/35 hankook v12 on stock style 162, fitment was perfect and no rubbing. I do believe the hankook brand tire runs small tho as was able to fit 275's on my coupe. All rear fitment
