Car sputtering @ high rpm with Cobb Accessport

Little worried. Installed Cobb Accessport a few weeks ago running stage 1 aggressive. 2010 N54 335i. DCI and M Performance exhaust. Was driving the last few days and at about 3/4 throttle the car starts to sputter like it's holding back. Uninstalled the tune, no sputtering even at full throttle. Figured it was the plugs and that I need new ones, colder NGK plugs. Before I replace those, is that what the issue most likely is? Or is it more likely to be a HPFP or even the coil packs?

Any ideas?

Thanks guys.

Just installed CPE charge pipe, blew the factory one off a few times and it finally cracked.

So would you recommend just leaving the tune installed and know that will happen at times or get a custom tune?

Sounds like a misfire. It's not uncommon for tunes to push the limits of the components and expose issues like these. Changing the plugs is a good first step. If it continues you may need to change coils too.

Log some data so we can make sure nothing else is wrong, like fueling.

Welllll you can take a few logs and see if it's your hpfp, post them up on the tech section if you're not sure. Orrrr push your car and check for codes...

Had the same thing after installing Cobb stage 1.
It was awesome when it did not missfire though

Instead of blaming the tune based on your own issue with it, hows about you actually provide some help. OP, pull codes if you can and go from there, misfires could happen due to the Cobb pushing the engine, parts will wear out easier. Start with plugs as other members mentioned and go from there.

Well in my case, just like op's, back to stock performance was fine. Better still moving on to MHD (initially ots and now my own tune) did not have any misfire issues. So...im not blaming the tune, it is a pos, there
O and the help Im providing? giving him real fb to stop wasting time on cobb ots.

New plugs gapped at .018-.020", and a fresh set of coil packs. Together, they can be had for around $240.00 shipped....

OP. How about u address the misfire as you should, plug, coil, Injectors, HPFP in that order and stop asking "what else it can be". Rule out the common things first and relieve all that waste of time on this forum.

Misfires are the most common failures when it comes to pushing your car to the limit. I was fine with stage 2 Cobb but wanted to show off in front of some chick so I ran e30 and it misfired like crazy. Ruled out sparkplugs, moved on the coils. Problem solved, back on the road

I appreciate all the feedback guys. Sorry, I am not a super under-the-hood knowledgeable guy yet so I figured I'd ask. Still learning. Thanks
