Hello all,

I placed an order for a new black on black 340I with every package except for the auto park and radar cruise control. Will defiantly post pictures once I get them. Wish the dealer could give me an exact date on when my car will arrive. all they can tell me is my car will arrive at the Baltimore port August 1st.

I know my F30 will come with the new Idrive interface but I can't figure out if the map's are auto updated or not. Does anyone know how they work. i've searched and the information i find is conflicting other sites.

Looking forward to posting my experience with the 340.

Congrats; the waiting is the hardest part, but it's still fun.

It's generally about a week from port arrival to dealer delivery, maybe even quicker since yours is going a short distance.

The new iDrive interface is just some subtle tweaks to the UI; software/content updates still must be done by the dealer.

The local region you are in auto updates from my experience on my 2016 340. IDrive 5 will act the same since the hardware is actually the same. Congrats and enjoy!

A silly thing BMW nows does- they no longer offer the dynamic handling pack. Instead they make you take track pack and performance tires. BUt...you want AWD and ALL season to get around town? Not interested in the performance gains? Beware- you will need two sets of tires and wheels! if you get snow...

when did it go into production? i wish mine would get here. Im trying not to replace a few tires on my q50 that needs to go back early fall....

The dealer told me there is a hold on 2017 340's at the port. Their system shows "engineering data release" which means BMW is updating the software due to a software change.

Knowing its sitting at the port stateside makes it even more unbearable

Crap I have a client with a 340 on order. I hope it doesn't get held back
