Oil, Floor Jack, Gasket questions.. ;)

Been a member on here for a while so don't flame me with the . Lmao, anyways searched for some info on the different types of Liqui-Moly, I use the 5w-30 premium, has anyone tried the other types like top tec 4100? Secondly, is anyone with a n54 running the new Shell OEM twin power oil, how are you liking it temperature wise and would you use it over the other LL-01 oils like liqui moly. Thirdly, looking for a pittsburgh jack when I head up to the states, Harbour Freight some on sale, the aluminum 2-ton racing jack and the 2-ton ultra low, ultra long one. Which one would you guys/gals recommend, mainly looking for the one that can reach the front centre jacking point without raising the sides (e92). Lastly, who is the OEM supplier of the oil filter housing gaskets and is there a site my American friends recommend for OEM parts other then ECS? Looking to have some shipped to my brothers house and will pick them up when I go to avoid the Canadian shipping and duty rape. Thanks in advance once again.

Dunno about the jack and such but I just ordered an OFHG and housing bolts from Pelican Parts. BMW gasket set me back about $20 and the bolts were a few $ each.

For the jack you want the long low one, lets your reach the center front jack point easily, the shorter one is a pain as the handle pivot is under the car, so hard to jack.

I am running the new twin power 5w-30 and it has been fine, but word is they have already changed it again and now it is 0w-30 they are recommending for the car - might be ok in the winter, but I am going to switch to motul 8100 x-cess or specific next change.

For OEM parts, I usually use Tischer BMW www.getbmwparts.com or ECS (both are on the east coast so faster shipping (I am in Boston, but am a Canuck also).

I have the HF 3 ton low profile and it works fine on my E90 sport. The handle does have very limited range when the car is on the wheels, but I have no problem getting it off the ground; just the first few pumps are short. The 2-ton long reach low profile would probably be best.

They do list the lengths of the jacks, so that could help you determine what will work better as even within the "same" jack, they offer a few revisions at different lengths.
