First BMW 2013 335is
After looking for a few months to replace my 2008 G35 Sedan that I've owned for more than 7 years I decided on a 335is Coupe. This was after talking with an employee at ABR Houston. The past 2 cars have been white so it was good to go with the Space Grey. 2013 with DCT, NAV, CON, PREM, PREM Sound, 19" 313 and HTD front seats. Less than 15k miles. I look forward to reading and learning more about the car on the forum without asking dumb questions!
The windows are not as dark as they look. [IMG][/IMG] Not sure what spoiler this is but I like it. Saddle Brown interior. |

Nice, congrats. I hope you bought the extended warranty because you are going to need it. Things start breaking down after 50k miles.
I have own my 08 335i for 6 years and I dont regret buying the extended warranty. After 2 years it paid it self off, my 335i just broke 100k miles and it still runs like the day I bought it. I love the turbos |

It came with CPO so good for 9 months with full warranty and CPO to April 2019. Should I get an additional warranty?

Great interior, it's one of my favorites besides the coral! Definitely plenty of information here and also plenty of stupidity, choose your poison wisely when reading things up.

Just stay up on maintenance but don't be surprised if this engine isn't as cheap to keep running as a Honda. |

Nice car man and don't worry about reliability much with a cared for (obvious) 2013, my 2011 has had no real issues that were not normal wear and tear (brakes, battery, starter button chipping, etc). The only thing weird was a rear wheel noise and they replaced the rear hubs under warranty.

Congrats! I found the DCT takes some getting used to. Mine feels like it's in neutral sometimes from a stop and it takes a second to engage. It's an exclusive car for sure and most come LOADED with options $60K+ sticker. Low mile examples are getting harder and harder to find - you got a gem there!
Did you get it for under $40K? Just curious

CPO to April 2019 is awesome and will give you great piece of mind, I got a BMW Platinum extended warranty on my 2009 335 Msport and loved the piece of mind it provided. I also used it quite a bit...
You're going to love the car! |

Thanks everyone. I spent a lot of time reading about the IS and the more I read the more excited I got about finding one. I think I'll eventually mod it but for now will just enjoy what it came with. It will be my daily driver but I'm tempted to keep the G and keep the miles low on the BMW after reading how low the production numbers are on the IS.
I paid $36K for it. I felt like it was a good deal based on nationwide prices I've seen and that it was hard to find them. Thankfully I found this one locally. Quote:

Thanks! I initially started looking at a 2013 M3, one of the partners at our office had one that he sold last year. After reading about both the M and the IS and eventually seeing the one I bought, I feel like it was the better purchase for my wants and needs - and it cost around $12k less than what I could find a clean low mileage M3 for. No regrets at all on the decision and this was a huge upgrade from the G35!

Congrats on the is. I love mine. All my previous 335s were 6 speeds, but the DCT is a fantastic match to this motor and I'm just as amused with this transmission as I was the manual. Enjoy it!
