New (to me) 2013 F30

I go pick up my "new" 2013 F30 tomorrow. It is Estoril Blue with black interior...I already have my mods picked out in my head. Will get better pics after it is detailed in the next few days. I currently have a 2010 e90 in Montego Blue, so I can't wait to compare the two. I know steering is different, but it will be nice to have the EB color...almost bought a melbourne red, but couldn't pass up the EB. It will be an easy transition from the E90 side to the F30 side. I enjoy learning more about the F30 than my research showed me while I was hunting for the car.

Pics of my current car and cell pics of the F30...

Welcome to the club! I have a 2012 328 that's black on red

Must say the blue has a certain BMW taste to it.

Thanks everyone! I went to pick up the car in Atlanta today and it had a few too many scratches for me being a CPO car, so the dealership is going to have them painted at the body shop and ship me the car...I live about 4 hours away from Atlanta, so that is win win for me...they fix all the paint work and I get it delivered on a flatbed. I got to go around the car with a body shop marker and mark all the paint work I wanted resprayed. It was nice actually!

I currently am planning mostly cosmetic mods such as...a lot of carbon fiber. I do most of my own carbon fiber work. I did all the carbon fiber work on my current E90...except rear diffuser. In no particular order:

carbon fiber M performance front splitter
carbon fiber M performance rear diffuser
carbon fiber mirror caps
carbon fiber interior trim
carbon fiber/leather steering wheel (maybe)
carbon fiber seat backs (maybe)

gloss black vinyl roof
gloss black or carbon fiber kidney grilles
CSL trunk

New wheels--gunmetal gray color, not sure which ones yet...
upgrade brake calipers/rotors to M performance
probably lowered although I have never lowered a car before so not drastically lower...just more aggressive to go with the mods.

Thanks, I really wanted saddle interior, but I don't think they offered saddle in 2013...and I couldn't find red, so black was it.

I used to always get black cars, then a few years ago, I got a Le Mans Blue Corvette and ever since, I love bright colors. I flopped between red and EBII, but I wanted EBII from the first time I saw it. You won't regret it...depending how you want to mod your car or keep it stock...it can be aggressive or laid back. This color is awesome!

Thanks everyone! I am getting anxious to get it...I am glad the dealer is repairing the paint damage I found, but I can't wait for them to call and say it's on the way. I already bought a carbon fiber diffuser and looking at M performance (style) front splitter.

Nice. And an Msport too. I went from an e90 to F30 and, as I have said in many posts, huge difference. The interior is much better and the tech as well. I think the steering difference is marginal and really only makes a difference in heavy cornering activities but the advantages of the F30 far outweigh the small deficiency of the steering.

I know right! Next time I am up that way, we should do a photoshoot of our cars together. Too bad you don't have your e90...could do all 4 cars. Of course I hope not to have my e90 much longer.

Thanks, my e90 was in the shop a few weeks ago and BMW got me a rental for the week. The first thing I noticed when I got back in the e90 was the steering feel. Now 2 weeks later, I don't notice it...so I am sure I will get used to the lighter feel or drive in sport mode all the time! M sport was a must on the F30...I ended up spending more on my e90 in getting it to look like I wanted than if I had bought Msport to start with...so this was a no brainer.

LOL, I've always been the one to avoid black cars but I can see how the Le Mans Blue can get you hooked. It's gorgeous! (montego blue is too btw) Red would've taken me some time to get used to but either one is a win win in my book. Any idea on what wheels you'll be going with?
