ABS question
Hi folks, I know theres a million previous posts relating to ABS Pump module failure, but just wanting advice on my problem specifically before I take the plunge on the module.
Its a 2006 320i The problems Im having are - When car is first started, the speedo will work up until around 45-50mph, then the needle just drops to 0 and doesnt move again until the car is restarted. I have 3 lights on the dash - ABS which is yellow DSC which is yellow Handbrake light which is yellow when car is first started but changes to red once start driving. I have had it on a snap on ODB scanner, cleared all existing error codes, ran the car for couple miles and rescanned, the codes apparently indicate both rear ABS sensors. Should I try the ABS sensors first? Or is it a clear Module common fault? Any help and advice greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance |

The DSC hydro pump failure has specific codes, 5DF0 and 5DF1. So, it sounds to me like you have sensor issues, not the DSC hydro.
Yes, you should try the sensors first. I am not sure if everyone's DSC hydro fails, just that it does not seem specific to 335's or 328's, it's both, and also BMW motorcycles...good luck! |
