Do you still get some air out of that vent?

Actually yes but of course limited. The top portion is blocked off by the display.

Great price, hassle-free installation and gives the necessary readouts for me. Good enough for my use.

Installed the P3 gauge.

Apart from all the data displayed, it also serves as workaround for the poor readability of the M2 analog instrument dials under some overcast lighting conditions. Now properly showing a digital speedometer in any lighting condition + OBC is now allowed more freedom to show other info than the small digital speedometer (my preference: navigation & Speed Limit Info together).

Small question regarding the config menu: according to the P3 car config instructions (BMW section) "Car.7" should be selected as config setting for the M135i/M235i/M3/M4. Anyone experimented with other "Car.#" choices of that particular setting ?

Will this fit a facelifted M2?

Has anybody run one of these with a piggyback like Dinan? P3 says that you need to tap the MAP sensor on the N55 to get the right readings. Where is it on the M2 and how hard is it to get to, anybody know???

Probably near the passenger footwell area. Check out the AWRON gauge install instructions, you'll probably get a better idea from there.

I thought seriously about an Awron but living in Florida......that's pretty much a no go. Need all the cool air we can get. Maybe I'll look into P3.
Thanks for posting the P3 note, I had forgotten all about it.

I find the orange font not that OEM. I called P3 they said that they are coming out with a white readout. They also said they could make me a custom one if I ordered from them.

I have to imagine it's simply a matter of purchasing a different color LED display from their supplier. White would be better for an LCI for sure.

I agree, although I decided to get white for my pre-LCI. I had the all orange P3 in my previous BMW and find the white digits with orange bar graph a nice change.

Biggest problem with P3 is the soft plastic. Too easy to put surface scratches in it when cleaning -- visible when the sun hits the gauge.

(Horrible cell pic from flash in a dark garage, looks great in real life).

Hi,

Does it give you both Coolant and Oil temps?

Thanks.

Karl.

Yes (although strangely they only show coolant on the p3 page).

This guy with an M2 cycles through the features (starting around 12:50)
