I have a couple of people waiting very patiently for their accounts to be activated on here, I've sent messages to both admins to activate their accounts.

Is there anything else I can do? Where are the forum staff these days?

Took me 48 hours to get my email, some of my mates it took 10 days.

Not good enough really for such a high traffic forum.

Have you ever had experience of running a high traffic forum? It's a LOT of work and takes a LOT of time out of your day and it's unpaid work too. You should really be paying to be reading/signed up to a forum like this.

Almost certainly, you don't make money running a forum, you have adverts and sponsers to help pay to run the servers, not pay the staff that run it.

True, places like pistonheads and whathifi which are owned by haymarket as semi-commercial projects, places like this are owned and run by individuals like Jason as communities for enthusiasts.

Yes I do, 1 which had 65,000 members and around 4-5000 active on a daily basis and one which had 110,000 members with 7-8000 active on a daily basis.

This forum will make a killing on advertising and brand deals. Same as we did. Accepting peoples registrations was critical to us, it never took over 24 hours in any situation. The more people active was the overall goal, which in return brought more money on advertising deals etc as we could sell more impression/views etc.

I am also a top moderator and adviser on a forum which over 1.9 million members which is making around $500,000 a year when I was involved, no doubt with the way the online market is. This would have increased by so much more.
