Non I drive to CIC retrofit

Any of the forum members from the North West have any contacts who can complete? I am aware that 2real4u is capable but difficult for me to get down there. Just wanted to see if there was anyone more local.

Thanks

Hi mate,

I spoke to a lot of people and eventually decided to go with Simon (2real4u). It's a long way and a long day for the install, but he is a real wizard for the install and I can't honestly fault any of his work. I can recommend a good hotel down there, but you'll have to plan a whole weekend if you use him.
I live in Runcorn, 500 mile round trip, but , in my view, well worth it.

Just my 2p worth...

I did read your thread earlier mate and I for once second do not doubt his abilities, im just weighing up my options at the moment and trying to fit in with work and everything else. Trust me he will be the first person I turn to if I don't find anything closer to home.

For non idrive to CIC without combox, you're looking at around £1200 judging from the quotes I was getting.

Just to put it out there....this is a DIY job.

CIC install should now considerably cheaper as no FSC code / Hardware emulator is needed.

Simply put, all you need now is:

Double scoop dash and trim bits (£300 from eBay)
CIC + CID + Controller (£400 - £600)
Wiring + GPS (Cheap)

If anyone tells you an emulator is need for Nav activation, they are wrong.

What's CID? How comes you don't need an emulator any more?

CID is the screen.

CIC Nav and other things can be certificate activated now. It's a fairly easy process. Initially it was kept secret but it's now been shared all over the net.

I see these on ebay for 850 -1,000. Do the fitters keep the CCC drive when they fit CIC?.

The only reason I am interested is so that I can use my Media Iphone 4S Snap-in to play music. In all honestly i'm happy with CCC but i'd like to AirPlay/Miracast to mirror iPhone. What's the cheapest way?

My car has Bluetooth and AUX/USB for music. Y cable allows iPhone to play music.

Thanks

Found this:

Airplay
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-WiFi-A...YAAOSwdIFXx~9f

multimedia
http://www.xcarlink.co.uk/product.php?productid=57

Would this work and how much to fit?

cheers
