Brown/Amber mark on cylinder head
Hi all,
I changed my plugs this weekend and borescoped my cylinders just for sh*ts and giggles since I have a bore-scope. I mean really, I'm not exactly sure what I was looking for. Maybe how much carbon has accumulated on the cylinder heads or something, I don't know, just thought it was a cool thing to try. The video footage is pretty useless, super lower res but I was able to extract a few images and was hoping someone could explain what I'm seeing. In the below image, there is a pronounced area of amber/brown stuff, almost looks like burnt wood or something. Does anyone know what that is? The car is running great, no issues at all (knock on wood) Got my oil analysis back from Blackstone and all levels we just near perfect. Just curious what that brown stuff might be. Thanks! EDIT Looks like every cylinder has that brown spot. Is that where the plug ignites or something?
