How to order the clear headlight replacement???

Hey guys,

I want to replace my Amber corner light in the headlight with the clear light and see where it is something people have pics of when picking their car up at the dealerships. What exactly do I need to request to have that switched out?

I'm a rookie car owner so don't judge a stupid question. :-)

I just install these and I have also used them in the past on my E36M3, http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/c...n=924628217102

Another old school option which I had done before these were available is to lightly mist the amber bulbs with high temp paint. I used plastic-kote Engine Enamel, Aluminum No. 207. If you used too much and they're opaque just wipe off w/some paint thinner and try again.

Others have used LEDs.

What is your reason for this? You know you could just code out the corner lights so your headlights would stay clear. The only time your corners would function is when you are signaling or have the hazards on.

The bulb itself is orange and colors the reflector in that part of the headlight orange even when off.

You don't have OCD do you

These worked for me:

EDIT- just realized, that in addition to the LED light show on startup, all the LED's (front and rear), do the flicker, as the car periodically does a light check. I spoke with my coder, he says he can code out the light check. I'll follow up.

I'll try to post a video of the light show on startup. If this was all there was, it would be fine. Maybe even cool. But I don't like the fact that the lights randomly blink while driving. Not cool.

Went with these, bright:
http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1024715

They are more money vs some LEDs I seen posted but they worked the best in my opinion and they are brighter than bimmian which is even more money!

I second this post....

I like how these LEDs look. I just refuse to have flickering issues and bulb warnings.

Anyone have LEDs without problems?? I feel like everyone with LEDs eventually gets some sort of problems.

In my somewhat limited experience, it does seem like most LEDs will run into some sort of issues. One answer, not ideal to some, is to code out the light test and hyperflash. I'm getting it coded out this Thursday...

I had them in my m235i with no flickering or hyperflashing while driving and no errors, the reverse I bought from deAutoLED had flickering though (no errors) but not the brakes or tails which is what I was concerned with mostly.

I ran these LEDs for almost 2 years with no issues and I will be installing them in my m240i soon to see how they act. I will keep everyone updated.

I looked into the amazon leds as they are a good price but people have reported flickering while driving and errors on and off so I just figured I paid a little bit more for the deAutoLEDs but am fully happy with how they look and act. Has anyone had the amazon leds installed for more than a year with no issues? I might buy the amazon leds and compare them since I am going to be removing the tails anyway.
