Resonator delete yes or no
Hi all, I have 2008 bmw 328xi e90 which I've done a muffler delete on. It sounds very nice but not loud enough for me anyways. I went to a muffler shop and they told me taking off my resonator would make my car sound like a honda civic lol. I'm just wondering has anyone done this set up: muffler and res delete and how did it sound and how is the drone? I'm looking for a deep tone not anything raspy or high pitched. Thanks!

my 335i has all 4 cats removed because they got blown out from leaking injectors but I had 2 vibrant resonators welded in because it was extremely raspy without them. It sounds great, 0 drone and nice and loud when I want it to be with pops and backfire. Best part is in 6th it sounds stock so I love it. If i was you i would follow their advice and keep the cats

If you're hell bent, go ahead and do it, but be sure you don't mind spending the $$ to put it back to where it was if you don't like it.

just get a fart can exhaust tip while you're at it. Maybe some Type-R stickers too.

If I had a 328xi and had some (well, a lot of) money to spend on improving the exhaust, I'd get the BMW Performance Exhaust kit and be done with it.
